Using the Global Goals Initiative to boost your job search (for researchers)
It can be challenging to connect your research topic with the concerns and priorities of the wider world. Yet this link is often key to finding a good fit in your next, or subsequent, career step.
In this session, you will learn about the Global Goals initiative that enables researchers to identify and articulate the connections between their work and the 17 globally-agreed Sustainable Development Goals. These goals, and the 169 targets they contain, are strategic priorities for governments, business and public sector bodies. Researchers who can offer relevant insight and skills are likely to be attractive to a range of organisations.
This opportunity is for researchers from all disciplines: Humanities and all the natural sciences have as much to contribute as social sciences.
The session will be facilitated by Rachel Bray (Careers Adviser) and Wendy Stone of Global Academy Jobs. Please book your place here via CareerConnect.
