Robert S. Kapito is President and Director of BlackRock, a premier provider of global investment management, risk management, and advisory services. He is also a member of BlackRock’s Global Executive Committee and Chairman of the Global Operating Committee, being responsible for day-to-day oversight of BlackRock’s key operating units.

Mr. Kapito serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania and the Harvard Business School Board of Dean’s Advisors. He is also President of the Board of Directors for Hope & Heroes, Chairman of UJA – Federation of New York, and on the Global Leadership Council at Oxford Saïd.

He earned a BS degree in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1979, and an MBA degree from Harvard Business School in 1983.
