Retelling the Histories we Know? | Tej Adeleye
‘Retelling the Histories We Know?’ is the theme for the second half of our Hilary term programme, and we are so pleased to welcome Tej Adeleye (she/her) as our speaker. On this theme, we will be discussing the concepts of resistance through time, re-telling marginalised histories, and writing alternative histories.
Bio: Tej Adeleye is an audio producer, writer, cultural programmer and trainee archivist based in London. She has produced arts and current affairs programmes and documentaries for Radio 3, Radio 4, 1xtra and currently produces BBC Radio 3’s flagship improvised music programme Freeness. She is a trustee at The George Padmore Institute, where she previously worked as a Community Development Officer. Her interests include archiving, Black political histories and contemporary organising, jazz/improvised music, neurodivergence and mental health.
