Reaching Young Stars: British Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad
Charles Barclay, Vice President of the Royal Astronomical Society and Green Templeton College Associate Fellow, delivers the first of the 2019 Astronomy for All Lectures.

Charles has led young British teams at the annual International Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad (IAAO) for three out of the past four years. In this lecture, he will discuss the importance of raising aspiration in science education and detail the development of this new venture for aspiring secondary level students, and how to ensure the best students from across the country are selected for future competitions regardless of background or location.
