Chris Garcia is the Younger Family Professor and Professor of Structural Biology at the Departments of Molecular and Cellular Physiology and Structural Biology at the Stanford University School of Medicine and an Investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and a member of the National Academies of Science and Medicine. The Garcia Lab research integrates structural biology, biochemistry, and protein engineering approaches to understanding how cell surface receptors detect, integrate, and propagate signalling upon engagement of extracellular ligands. His Lab aims to elucidate the structural and mechanistic basis of receptor activation, including the T cell receptor.
