Many researchers may wish to continue conducting research, but move away from working within academia. Luckily, research conducted in many sectors beyond academia, and research skills are valued and sought by employers. In some cases, roles may be clearly presented as research-oriented, while others may not have job titles that clearly show their research focus.
This session provides an overview of how to find research jobs available beyond academia, share tools for discovering individuals who have entered your sector of interest, and briefly share how to assess how your experience maps onto the requirements of advertised job roles.
