Holocaust Memorial Lecture Oxford 2024 - Remember: Surviving the Holocaust
Oxford University Chabad Society and Oxford JSoc invite you to Holocaust Memorial Lecture Oxford 2024
February, 1945 would have been the perfect time for Hungarian born 13-year-old Ivor Perl’s Bar Mitzvah but instead the barely in his teens lad stood under the cold snow hungry and desperate in the Nazi concentration camp, Auschwitz.
Miriam Freedman was born in Bratislava. Her life changed beyond recognition when the Nazi party came to power in 1933. Miriam and her immediate family survived by going into hiding, aided by those who put their own lives at risk to keep them safe.
Introduction by the Assessor and Chief Diversity Officer of the University of Oxford Professor Joseph Conlon and Professor Tim Soutphommasane.
There will be a buffet reception at 18:00. Please RSVP here: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfrPVX2_CVT_S5vLHIjE8yqw73tu7GHXeYbVg_XhWPHxJapIA/viewform
