Phenome@BDI Seminar - Cross-omics studies of Alzheimer’s disease: beyond the brain
Alzheimer’s disease is the most common cause of dementia. The occurrence of disease is largely driven by the apolipoprotein E gene. The disease is characterized by amyloid and tau aggregation in the brain. The seminar discusses the growing evidence of peripheral pathology including the vascular system and the gut-liver-brain axis.
