David Patrikarakos is an internationally acclaimed author, journalist and broadcaster. He is a contributing editor at the Daily Beast and a contributing writer at Politico Europe. He is also a Poynter Fellow at Yale and a Non-Resident Fellow in the School of Iranian Studies, at the University of St Andrews.

His first book, Nuclear Iran: The Birth of an Atomic State, was the first history of Iran’s nuclear programme from its beginnings in the 1950s to the present day. It was named as a New York Times Editors’ Choice and nominated for International Affairs Book of the Year at the 2013 Total Politics Book Awards.
He also works with think tanks and governments and have briefed Parliament, the Foreign Office and MPs on the Middle East and Eastern Europe, and given evidence before Parliamentary Select Committees.
He has appeared on TV and radio across Europe, the Middle East and the US.
