Live-Cell Imaging of R-loops and Their Impact on Gene Expression
Sérgio de Almeida is a Group Leader at the Institute of Molecular Medicine and an Associate Professor with Habilitation at the Medical School of the University of Lisbon. The de Almeida’s lab focuses on the molecular mechanisms that regulate transcription and DNA damage repair, employing a multidisciplinary research strategy that combines experimental tools and approaches from areas such as cell and molecular biology, biochemistry, live-cell microscopy, NGS and bioinformatics. de Almeida has authored over 30 original research papers and is the inventor of two patents.
