Offshore Wind Energy Towards 2050
This talk will inform you of the latest trends, technologies and targets for offshore wind in the UK, and its role in the energy system. This draws on the work made by research organisations funded by the Energy Technologies Institute and the presenter’s own analysis and research.

Dr. Stuart Bradley is the Renewables and Marine Practice Manager at the Energy Systems Catapult, Derby. His background is varied, having worked in research and development in Energy, Automotive, Rail and Defence, for General Electric, Siemens and Trelleborg. He has created over 60 inventive disclosures on topics as varied as instrumentation, manufacturing methods and high-power density machines. His role at the Catapult is to encourage innovation in renewable energy to meet the needs of the UK’s energy system to and beyond 2050.

This event will be held in the Beckit Room in the School of Geography and the Environment at 5.30pm. Entry is £2 for non-members and free for members and the talk will be followed by free pizza and drinks!
