Introduction to Presentation Skills (in-person)
The course will cover the key principles of planning and delivering a successful talk, and help to build your confidence. Each subject area in the MPLS Division has its own specific requirements for research presentations: please note that this course does not seek to address these.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of the session, participants will have:
 Developed an awareness of what makes a presentation effective.
 Understood why planning and practice are crucial to the success of a presentation.
 The confidence to choose and use a variety of techniques to engage the audience.
 Practiced delivering a short presentation and gained constructive feedback.
INTENDED FOR
PGR and Research Staff with limited experience of giving presentations.
