Careers Seminar: From Pharmacology to Pharmaceuticals
In association with the University of Oxford Careers Service we are hosting a series of talks themed upon career development.
Alex Lewis finished his D.Phil. in Pharmacology at Oxford in 2007. He then worked in the same department on short term research contracts before securing funding for a 3-year postdoc. In 2008 he also started as a College Lecturer in Physiology and Pharmacology at St Hilda’s College, with responsibility for preclinical medical students. In 2012 he moved to Newton Europe as an operational improvement consultant before acquiring his current position of Medical Scientific Liaison Manager (MSL) at Janssen in 2014. The talk will discuss the steps from completing the D.Phil. to the current role, and then go on to explain the day-to-day realities of the job.

No need to book.
