LGBTQ+ History Month reading group: 'Seven People Dancing'
LGBTQ+ History Month Reading Group: Queer Short Stories
12.15-1.30pm, Seminar Room A
This reading group celebrates LGBTQ+ History Month by taking a close look at some modern queer short stories (broadly conceived). Topics of conversation might include how moments in LBGTQ+ history are portrayed in fiction; how far queer identity or desire is a matter of interpretation in the chosen stories (and whether this matters), and what makes storytelling queer.
After a short introduction, each session will be discussion-based, so please read the stories in advance (contact Julyan Oldham for copies). No food will be provided, but feel free to bring your lunch! All are welcome.
