This one-day symposium brings together researchers from across mathematical, statistical and data sciences to discuss the current and future cutting-edge approaches to tissue pathology. As wet lab methods generate increasing amounts of spatial data, the extraction of biologically and clinically relevant information is limited by our ability to analyse them. This meeting seeks to bring together scientists with different expertise to understand which novel techniques are best suited for biological application.
Programme:
The day will commence at 08:30 with arrival registration and refreshments, there will be presentations on Spatial Statistics and Topological Data Analysis (Joshua Bull, Heather Harrington), Modelling (Ruth Baker, Eamonn Gaffney), AI and Networks (Jens Rittscher, Renaud Lambiotte) and other speakers at the intersection of statistics, mathematics and biology (Simon Leedham, Ling-Pei Ho). The keynote address will be given by Prof Philip Maini.
There will be a poster session and the best abstracts will be chosen for flash talks.
The deadline for registration is the 13th of November.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are interested in presenting a poster and/or a flash talk, indicate it upon registration. The deadline for submission will be the 1st of November. We have limited capacity for posters and flash talk; the abstracts will be judged by a panel of experts.
