OSSG: The Lessons of the Russian Invasion of Ukraine for Air and Ground-Based EW systems and Tactics (Thomas Withington)
This week, we’re excited to host Thomas Withington speaking on The Lessons of the Russian Invasion of Ukraine for Air and Ground-Based EW systems and Tactics. Dr. Thomas Withington is an award-winning analyst and writer specialising in electronic warfare, radar and military communications and a Research Associate at the Royal United Services Institute. He has written widely on these subjects for a range of specialist and general publications. He also works as a consultant and adviser in these areas for several leading government and private sector clients. Furthermore, Dr. Withington provides regular commentary on security and defence aspects of electromagnetic spectrum use for major media organisations around the world. Much of his current research is focused on Ukraine and Russia’s ongoing battle in the electromagnetic spectrum in its role in the wider conflict. A £2 fee for attendance at the speaker event is kindly requested in cash or bank transfer for all non-members of OUSSG.
