The Path Forward for Ultra Poor Graduation: Adoption and Scale
The Oxford Martin Programme on the Future of Development invites you to a critical discussion on the adoption and scale of the Ultra-Poor Graduation (UPG) approach.
UPG’s multifaceted interventions have demonstrably empowered individuals and families to escape extreme poverty. The approach’s effectiveness has been rigorously evaluated across diverse contexts, yielding significant improvements in economic and social well-being. However, widespread adoption and scaling of these programs continue to face challenges.
Join us as a distinguished panel of experts delves into the critical factors hindering UPG’s expansion, to identify and dissect the bottlenecks to scaling, discuss how evidence can facilitate progress, and delineate what steps are necessary to accelerate adoption.
