Responding to service fragmentation: outcomes contracts and collaboration in cross-sector ecosystems of support
This Engaging with Evidence webinar session will investigate the use of outcomes contracting as a potential approach to foster cohesive cross-sector collaborations to improve social outcomes. We’ll look at findings from original research carried out by the Government Outcomes Lab, Blavatnik School of Government, as well as other practical examples from the UK, US and low- and middle- income countries.

In particular, we’ll be looking at The Kirklees Integrated Support Service Social Impact Bond (KISS SIB), which is an exciting example of an outcomes-based contract structure serving to orchestrate a complex ecosystem of local providers. Seeking to support adults who face barriers to living independently and who have historically experienced poor and fragmented provision from lots of different parts of the state and voluntary sector – the KISS SIB brings together a wide range of areas from benefits and housing to mental health and the criminal justice system. What’s at the centre of this, is effective stewardship carried out by The Kirklees Better Outcomes Partnership.

We have an outstanding panels of guest speakers joining us, including senior academics and policymakers and practitioners from Tufts University, University of Oxford, The World Bank and UK Government.

This webinar will be of interest to anyone interested in public policy, outcomes-approaches, innovative financing models, public-private sector partnerships, public service delivery… the list goes on!
