Diana Wood Memorial Concert
Dr Diana Wood was a distinguished scholar and inspirational teacher of medieval history. For many years she was a lecturer in local history and course director of the Undergraduate Diploma in English Local History at the Department for Continuing Education at Oxford.

She was a Kellogg College Common Room Member and a great benefactor. Her legacy gift enabled the College to establish its first fully-endowed doctoral scholarship – the Oxford-Vincent Packard and Geoffrey Smart Graduate scholarship – which is named in honour of a family friend and her father.

Diana was also a passionate music lover, and her generosity enables us to stage a concert each year, to be enjoyed by the College and Oxford Community.

It was her wish for the concert to be held in memory of her mother, Hilda Smart. This concert is named in Diana’s honour, recognising her contributions to Kellogg and to Oxford.
