The Philosophy of Evidence-Based Medicine: current state and future directions
By all accounts EBM is a dominant paradigm within medicine, and it has spread to other disciplines as well. Paradoxically, evidence (as defined by the EBM movement) for the health benefits of EBM has proven elusive. In this session we examine the reasons for the failure of EBM to
justify itself and discuss future directions for the future of the Philosophy of Evidence-Based Medicine.
