Understanding the implications of Net Zero for Latin America
Oxford Net Zero’s Jose Maria Valenzuela will be discussing the implications of net zero for Latin America. Jose Maria will look at various case studies in Latin America and speak to the challenges of target setting, research and policy in the region.
Previously part of the Mexican Ministry of Energy, as well as various international organisations, Jose Maria is now a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute for Science, Innovation and Society (InSIS) here in Oxford. His reseach looks at the intersection of global governance and the politics of knowledge and state capacity.
