What Economists Really Do: The Economics of Disability
Hamish Low will tackle the topic of the economics of disability by defining ‘health shocks’ and comparing the severity of a health shock to the quality of life and economic prosperity of the person affected by it. Low will compare the success of the UK vs the US government’s attempts to support people with health shocks, and consider the benefits to both the individual and the governments.
