Modelling Malaria Elimination

Lisa White is the head of a mathematical and economic modelling (MAEMOD) group based in Thailand at the Mahidol-Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit. MAEMOD develops mathematical and economic models to support the control and elimination of tropical diseases. She is also interested in using mathematical modelling as a way to interpret scientific data and to contribute to the design of experiments and clinical trials. Her current personal research agenda is to develop models and to train modellers within national control programs to support malaria elimination in countries in the Asia-Pacific region.
