Early Black Lives Special Seminar
A special seminar to mark Black History Month this October and Oxford Dictionary of National Biography’s Early Black Lives release. The seminar will feature presentations by some of the authors of the new ODNB entries, followed by a Q&A. Speakers include Dr Miranda Kaufmann, author of Black Tudors: The Untold Story (2017); Dr Onyeka Nubia, author of Blackamoores: Africans in Tudor England, Their Presence, Status and Origins (2013); Dr Katherine Paugh, author of The Politics of Reproduction: Race, Medicine and Fertility in the Age of Abolition (2017); and Dr Anders Ingram of Oxford University Press. Chair: Dr Faridah Zaman.
