Doctoral students on the policy front line
Can doctoral students contribute to policy? Do policymakers want to engage with doctoral students? If so, how would one go about it? If you’ve found yourself thinking along these lines, then this is the perfect session for you! By drawing on the experiences of doctoral students who have undertaken policy work and individuals from the institutions at which they have worked, we will celebrate the contributions to policy made by some of our students and give practical advice to those who would like to do similarly.

This event will comprise of a panel session and Q&A, chaired by Dr Claire Craig, followed by a networking session with light refreshments. This event is targeted at doctoral students and those who guide them, including supervisors and academic programme leads. We will have at least one panellist from each of the four University divisions and so everyone, regardless of background, is very welcome to attend!
