Novel roles for autophagy in cellular differentiation
Katja Simon group studies the mechanisms of cell fate determination in hematopoiesis. Key findings from their research show that autophagy, a major cellular degradation pathway, is required for the maintenance and differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells.
