Karen Leeder is an award-winning translator, a writer and leading British scholar of German culture. She is Professor of Modern German Literature at the University of Oxford, as well as a member of the Academy of Europe. Matthew Reynolds is Professor of English and Comparative Criticism at the University of Oxford, and a prize-winning novelist. He is founder and chair of the Oxford Comparative Criticism and Translation research centre.
