Sudan’s political crisis: what next?
Yasir Arman and Rosalind Marsden will discuss continuing protests in Sudan calling for the resignation of President Omar al-Bashir, driven in part by high food prices. Mr Arman is the deputy leader of the SPLM/N and the secretary for external affairs of the Sudan Call, a coalition of parties opposed to the current government. Dame Marsden is a former UK ambassador and EU special representative to Sudan, and an associate fellow of the Africa Programme at Chatham House.
