Streamflow Changes and Their Drivers in Spain Over the Last Decades
In Spain, there has been a significant reduction in surface water resources over the past few decades. Currently, there is a scientific debate about the causes of this decline, with some approaches suggesting that the primary impact is due to climate change processes, while other studies suggest a greater influence from changes in water consumption and land management. This talk illustrates the process of changes in river flow over the last few decades and presents the mechanisms that have led to this reduction.
