Natural Resource Management, Conservation and Climate Change in India
Sushil Saigal, Director of Programs and Interim Managing Director at The Nature Conservancy – India, will speak about TNC’s projects that combine science and community-driven approaches, with focus on the HARIT project (Harnessing the Power of Agriculture Residues through Innovative Technologies) looking at the use of technologies such as “happy seeder” to address the problem of crop residue burning and associated air pollution in Northwest India. Trisha Gopalakrishna, OICSD scholar and DPhil Candidate at the School of Geography and the Environment, will moderate the event.
