The Infectious Disease Epidemiology Unit (IDEU) is a newly formed unit within Oxford Population Health: www.ndph.ox.ac.uk/research/infectious-disease-epidemiology-unit
Researchers working within the IDEU are focused on bacterial, viral and parasitic diseases that are major causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. The overarching aim of the IDEU is to produce internationally recognised research that leads to improved global health. One of the ways we can do this is by forging new research collaborations with other investigators, both within and external to the department. We are also keen to define associations between infectious and non-infectious diseases, building on specific strengths within Oxford Population Health.
The first workshop to showcase the IDEU will be held on 16 September 2022 in the Big Data Institute. There will be plenty of time for discussion and networking. The meeting will be in-person but will be recorded and available online after the workshop.
