Bioregional is leading an international ‘One Planet Cities’ project, funded by the KR Foundation. This is bringing together councils, organisations, businesses, schools and community groups in four city regions, in Canada, South Africa, Denmark and the UK to help make better places to live. Working together in each city region, these organisations will co-create locally owned plans to create a sustainable future. Bioregional’s One Planet Living framework will be used to structure the plans. This comprises ten simple principles – from health and happiness and sustainable food to zero-carbon energy – which provide a common language to talk about sustainability and to drive change.
Oxfordshire County Council and Bioregional Oxfordshire are inviting partners across the county to come together to create a ‘One Planet’ action plan.
