As part of the Michaelmas Energy Nexus Series, the ZERO Institute ECR Network is pleased to invite you to participate in an industry engagement visit to Harwell Campus. The visit will be led by the Energy Tech Cluster, joined by Energy Tech Cluster Manager Ms Emma Southwell-Sander, Associate Director Mr Patrick Pringle and Professor Martin Owen Jones, ISIS Energy Materials Coordinator.
About Harwell Campus. Founded in 1946 to tackle the energy crisis and advance nuclear technology, today, Harwell Campus is home to a federation of leading science and technology organisations and facilities. The Harwell Science and Innovation Campus is a 700-acre science and technology campus in Oxfordshire, England. Over 6,000 people work there in over 240 public and private sector organisations, working across sectors including Space, Clean Energy, Life Sciences and Quantum Computing.
Who will be attending? This event is open to members of the University of Oxford engaged or interested in interdisciplinary research for net-zero energy transitions. The visit is structured to cater to a range of disciplines, including energy engineering, material science, geography, policy, international development, and finance.
