COP27 Round up webinar
Our expert panel will share their highlights of COP27 and take stock of progress. They will address the most significant developments as well as identifying areas which missed out and what this means going forward. The panel will also discuss the broader future of the COP process and its place in the fight for net zero.

Professor Cameron Hepburn
Cameron is Professor of Environmental Economics at the University of Oxford, and Director of the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment. He has published widely on energy, resources and environmental challenges across disciplines including engineering, biology, philosophy, economics, public policy and law.

Dr Steve Smith
Steve is Executive Director of two programmes led by the Smith School, both focussed on stabilising the climate both rapidly and sustainably: Oxford Net Zero Initiative and CO2RE. Steve’s research interests lie at the intersection of climate science and policy

Dr Sugandha Srivastav
Sugandha is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Climate Compatible Growth programme at the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment. Her research focuses on designing effective climate policy in low and middle-income countries. She also explores incentives for clean innovation and the political economy of energy transitions.

Dr Jessica Omukuti
Jessica is a Research Fellow of Inclusive Net Zero for the Oxford Net Zero Initiative at the Institute of Science Innovation and Technology. She is interested in understanding how responses to climate change affect societies in the Global South. Within this, is work on the governance of climate change adaptation and mitigation, climate justice, just transitions and climate finance in the Global South.

George is a Communications Manager for the Oxford Net Zero and CO2RE Hub

Dr Anupama Sen
Anupama Sen is Head of Policy Engagement for the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment. Her role includes working with the core team and the Smith School’s researchers to support and enhance the School’s engagement with policymakers, through various channels and outputs.
