STEM Research and Development in Industry and Beyond
Ready to move beyond academia but don’t want to leave research? Scientific research and development opportunities are available in many environments, from commercial businesses, government departments and funded bodies, charities, and hospitals.

Non-university research can be at the forefront of innovation and delivering impact.

This session will feature speakers across the physical and life sciences and from a range of industry contexts who have continued their research beyond academia.

They will address those most commonly asked questions by those considering this career transition including ‘How can I gain relevant experience to strengthen my job applications?’

This session will focus on applications for positions beyond academia only.

This event is part of Careers Beyond Academia: Options and Pathways for Researchers, our careers conference for Oxford University research staff and DPhil students, 20-23 March 2023.
