Are Rail Megaprojects a Nightmare to Deliver? Lessons for Successful Deliver
In Britain alone, the rail industry facilitates travel for around 1.7 billion passengers every single year. Behind these journeys lie highly complex projects, which have been labelled a nightmare by both industry practitioners and experts alike. As high-profile rail projects such as Crossrail and HS2 continue to progress towards key milestones, the question of how we can achieve successful delivery has become extremely pertinent.

This seminar brings together leading experts in rail project delivery from around the world to discuss the question of whether rail projects are a nightmare to deliver and how we can achieve successful delivery. Each speaker brings unique insights into the complexity of rail megaprojects, and how these projects will play an integral part in meeting sustainability goals within the next decade.

This inaugural seminar of the Sustainable Megaprojects series is brought to you by Foresight Works and Oxford University’s Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment.
