The Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) Thames Valley Network Dementia Research Day will consist of talks and poster sessions from 9am until 5pm, and the chance to network and meet with dementia researchers face to face. Building on last year’s successful event, we will have a wide range of talks from across the disciplines, to enable us to continue to grow bridges across the network from basic to clinical research.
The ARUK Thames Valley Network is delighted to have secured as a keynote speaker Dr Catherine Mummery, Head of Novel Therapeutics at the Dementia Research Centre, University College London. She will give a talk on her experiences as an investigator into early phase drug trials of disease modifying agents in dementias; and the realities for the future of drugs such as lecanemab and donanemab.
We will be joined by a representative from Alzheimer’s Research UK, who will tell us more about the charity and the funding opportunities available. At the end of the event, there will be a drinks reception, followed by a post-event social, hosted by the ARUK Thames Valley Network Early Career Researchers representatives.
