Join us for a fireside chat between Baroness Nicola Blackwood and Professor Kylie Vincent.
As part of International Women’s Day, join us for a fireside chat between Baroness Nicola Blackwood, Chair of the Oxford University Innovation Board, and Professor Kylie Vincent, University of Oxford Academic Champion for Women in Entrepreneurship, as they discuss the importance of innovation & entrepreneurship in the UK (and more specifically, Oxford), and the role women are and will play in shaping this agenda in Oxford and beyond.
The importance of innovation & entrepreneurship in UK has increased immensely over the past 10 years, with the UK government recently setting out its Innovation Strategy to make the UK a global hub for innovation by 2035. But why has innovation become such a focus for the UK, and what is role of Universities, and specifically, Oxford?
But we also know that there are inequalities and barriers to engaging in innovation and entrepreneurship for underrepresented groups, including women. While progress is being made, there is still a very long way to go to ensure we are making the most of the talent we have. So what is University of Oxford doing to support underrepresented groups (in particular, women) to engage in innovation and entrepreneurship activities?
