PLP Colloquium: Catharine A. MacKinnon, 'Rape Redefined'
Rape Redefined: Kate O’Regan (Law) engages with Catharine A. MacKinnon.

Professor Catharine A. MacKinnon is the Elizabeth A. Long Professor of Law at Michigan Law and the long-term James Barr Ames Visiting Professor of Law at Harvard Law School. She specializes in sex equality issues under international and domestic (including comparative, criminal, and constitutional) law.

Kate O’Regan, the inaugural director of the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights, will be opening the discussion.

The Oxford Philosophy, Law, and Politics (PLP) Colloquium is an interdisciplinary colloquium series that brings together theorists from philosophy, law, politics, and beyond to discuss works-in-progress by distinguished scholars. This event is co-sponsored with the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights. The Bonavero Institute is dedicated to fostering world-class research and scholarship in human rights law, to promoting public engagement in and understanding of human rights issues, and to building valuable conversations and collaborations between human rights scholars and human rights practitioners.
