Book Launch: Dark Laboratory: On Columbus, the Caribbean, and the Origins of the Climate Crisis
Tao Leigh Goffe will present her groundbreaking book “Dark Laboratory: On Columbus, the Caribbean, and the Origins of the Climate Crisis.” The author will discuss a few selected chapters from the book, followed by a discussion on the relevance of the book for the higher education and education researchers in general in teaching on climate justice, building reparative futures, and pedagogies.
Tao Leigh Goffe is an award-winning writer, theorist, and interdisciplinary artist who grew up between London and New York. She is Associate Professor at the City University of New York and the founder of Dark Laboratory, a climate research organization which focuses on the study of race, technology and ecology. Tao lives and works in Manhattan. Dark Laboratory is her first book.
