Write for the Conversation: a short informal workshop
Want to raise the profile of your research and engage with wider public audiences? Want to hone your writing skills and find out what makes an effective opinion article? This short workshop will be led by an editor from The Conversation, an online source of thought-provoking articles written by researchers and academics for the public.
It will give you the chance to discuss and get feedback on your ideas with an editor; get tips on pitching stories; and get guidance on what makes a high quality opinion article.

Objectives: – Increase awareness of what The Conversation is – Increase awareness and understanding of how to get involved in The Conversation – Increase and reinforce understanding of concepts of writing effective opinion articles for the public – Provide bespoke guidance on writing high quality opinion articles
