Leadership & Identity
Registration required: https://clarendon-ibarra.eventbrite.com
How people take up leadership roles and how followers respond to them are fundamentally questions about who they are – their identity. But, who is that self? What is constant and what changes with experience? In this lecture, Herminia will provide a brief history of leadership thought, challenge current conceptions of ‘authentic leadership’ and propose that learning to lead is a process of identity transition that requires a degree of playfulness with one’s sense of self.
