Wellcome Research Culture Café: mental health, bullying and harassment, and EDI issues
To sign up for the Cafes or if you have any questions, please email Anjali: Anjali.shah@admin.ox.ac.uk
As you may be aware, earlier this year Wellcome published a report entitled “What researchers think about the culture they work in”. This drew on the experiences more than 4,000 researchers in the UK and globally and highlighted the stark pressures that researchers face.
In response, Wellcome are encouraging the research community to come together in a series of “Café Culture” discussions to reflect on the report’s findings and propose solutions for developing a better research culture. The results of these discussions will feed into Wellcome’s broader work on improving research culture.
We are pleased to announce that we will be host a virtual Café Culture discussions via Zoom on the following date:
* Wednesday 5 August, 3-4:40pm: a more specific Café, focussed on mental health, bullying and harassment, and equality, diversity and inclusion-related issues
Ahead of the Cafe, you may find it helpful to
