Diverse or Divided? The Absolute Truth in a Multiethnic Society

Dr Marie Kawthar Daouda is Stipendiary Lecturer in French at Oriel College. She was born and raised in Morocco and studied at La Sorbonne, Paris before moving to Britain. Dr Daouda’s work focuses on representations of good and evil, the connections between antiquity and the contemporary world, and references to Scripture and liturgy in French and English literature. She is particularly influenced by the ideas of St John Henry Newman, Edith Stein, and René Girard. She has also contributed articles to The Critic, UnHerd and The Daily Telegraph.
