Baroness Catherine Ashton was the EU’s first High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, serving from 2009-2014. During her time in this role, commonly referred to as the EU Foreign Minister, Baroness Ashton worked as a leading negotiator during the P5+1 talks on Iran’s Nuclear Program and during the negotiations between Serbia and Kosovo that eventually led to the Brussels Agreement. She now sits as a life peer in the House of Lords, and has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. She will be discussing a range of issues, including her book, ‘‘And Then What? Inside Stories of 21st Century Diplomacy’‘.
