Join us for an informal discussion with Dr John Cockell, who is visiting Oxford from the UN peacekeeping operation in Mali, to learn how research shapes peacekeeping policy and practice.

Chief of Strategic Planning in the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA), John has previously served as head of the Butembo field office in the UN Emergency Ebola Response Office in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and with other peacekeeping, political and humanitarian assessment missions in Jordan, Lebanon, Somalia, and Sudan.
