Speaker Event on African Diplomacy followed by a free drinks & networking reception
The Oxford Diplomatic Society, the Oxford University Africa Society and the African Studies Centre are jointly organising a Speaker Event on African Diplomacy on Thursday 30 November at 5.30PM. Our speaker will be the High Commissioner of The Gambia to the United Kingdom – H.E Fatou Bensouda.
Before elaborating on the foreign policy objectives of The Gambia, the event will explore questions such as whether there is such a thing as ‘African’ diplomacy, what the main challenges and priorities of African countries are in foreign affairs and how this relates to the western world, what the future of African diplomacy might look like, and how the African continent can best advance its interests in an increasingly multipolar world.
After the speaker event, there will be a free drinks & networking reception from 7.00-7.45PM.
Sign up via our sign-up sheet in order to make use of this great opportunity!
