The David Nicholls Memorial Lecture: “Race, Rubber, Revolution: Haiti’s 1940s Revisited”
The lecture is an annual collaborative event between the Oxford Centre for Religion and Culture and the David Nicholls’ Memorial Trust which also supports the David Nicholls Memorial Library at Regent’s Park College. Nicholls was a political scientist and priest-scholar of the Church of England with a special interest in political pluralism and a world authority on the history and politics of Haiti. The lecture will be preceded by informal tea or coffee in the College’s Senior Common Room from c. 15.00 onwards and will be followed by a drinks reception.
