Social and Cultural Histories of the Holocaust
The lenses of social and cultural history can tell us much about the human experience of the Holocaust and persecution of the Jews, including how they responded and adapted as a community and as individuals. This week, we will read a chapter from Anna Hájková’s recent work on Theresienstadt alongside a forum discussion from the journal German History exploring cultural history and the Holocaust to explore the contribution this research can have to our understanding of the Holocaust.
