Tuesday 18 June, 6.30-8.30pm, St Cross College, Oxford
Drinks reception with nibbles, followed by a panel discussion.

There is increasing recognition that we need nature to play a central role in addressing climate change, from supporting food and water security in the UK to improving physical and mental health of our people.

There is also an estimated funding gap of between £40-90 billion for nature’s recovery. To begin to address this, the UK Government recently published a landmark green finance strategy and nature markets framework.

As one of the largest landowners in the UK, The Wildlife Trusts are harnessing the power of nature to deliver positive change for people across the UK and overcoming barriers to the scaling up of finance for nature-based solutions.

This panel discussion, jointly hosted by The Wildlife Trusts and Berkshire, Buckinghamshire & Oxfordshire Wildlife Trust, will look at the challenges and opportunities for practical action in the UK for scaling up the delivery of nature-based solutions.

Speakers will include Kathryn Brown OBE, Director of Climate Change and Evidence at RSWT. The discussion is being hosted to coincide with the Nature-Based Solutions conference taking place in Oxford.
